Vincent Schmidt, virtuose de la guitare fingerstyle, s'est imposé comme une figure incontournable de ce genre musical, avec la sortie de quatre albums et plus de 200 concerts en Suisse et à l’étranger.
Vincent a maîtrisé en autodidacte le style de guitare « one man band » en s'inspirant de grands noms tels que Chris Woods, Jon Gomm, et surtout Tommy Emmanuel, qui demeure sa plus grande influence.
Au cours de son parcours, il est récompensé par plusieurs distinctions, dont le prestigieux Prix Cully Jazz Festival (2024), qui salue sa capacité à développer des projets musicaux ambitieux et variés.
Il a joué dans des festivals prestigieux tels que la grande scène du Cully Jazz Festival en première partie de John Scofield, au Zermatt Unplugged et au Paléo Festival.
Vincent Schmidt devient également l'ambassadeur suisse de la marque de guitare acoustique Dowina et développe avec eux un modèle de guitare signature. Il cofonde également la MIGS Academy, une école de guitare en collaboration avec le Montreux International Guitar Show.
En novembre 2024, il sort son quatrième album "We'll Get There, Eventually" en collaboration avec le pianiste de jazz Natan Niddam, rencontré durant ses études à la HEMU.
En parallèle, il participe à divers projets musicaux, notamment avec le groupe A.W.A et EMELYNE.
À 18 ans, il compose et sort son premier album solo, Feelings, suivi de Between Hope and Fire en 2019, puis de Ode to Breath en 2023. Parallèlement à sa carrière musicale, il poursuit des études supérieures en Jazz à la Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU), où il obtient un Bachelor, puis un Master en Pédagogie Jazz qu'il achève en 2024.

Vincent Schmidt, a virtuoso of fingerstyle guitar, has established himself as a prominent figure in this musical genre, with the release of four albums and over 200 concerts in Switzerland and abroad.
Vincent mastered the "one man band" guitar style as a self-taught musician, drawing inspiration from renowned artists such as Chris Woods, Jon Gomm, and most notably Tommy Emmanuel, who remains his greatest influence.
Throughout his journey, he has been recognized with several awards, including the prestigious Cully Jazz Festival Prize (2024), which commended his ability to develop ambitious and varied musical projects.
He has played at prestigious festivals such as the main stage of the Cully Jazz Festival opening for John Scofield, Zermatt Unplugged and the Paléo Festival.
Vincent Schmidt also became the Swiss ambassador for the acoustic guitar brand Dowina and create with them a signature guitar model. He also co-founded the MIGS Academy, a guitar school in collaboration with the Montreux International Guitar Show.
